Sky Tan, President of Sky Creation Group elected new president of Singapore Renovation Contractors & Material Suppliers Association (RCMA)
Singapore

At the recent RCMA AGM and election of office bearers, Sky Tan of Sky Creation Group was once again elected as the new president of the association by virtue of his outstanding leadership and far-reaching influence in the industry.
As founder and president of the Sky Creation Asia, Tan has led his group of companies to expand globally with forward-looking strategic vision and keen business insight. During recent years, it has achieved remarkable results also in the Chinese market, and has also established an extensive decoration industry network in other countries and regions.
The group currently has branches in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong, China, actively expanding overseas markets and enhancing the international influence of the company.
This is the fourth time that Mr. Chen Jinlong has been appointed as the president of RCMA. During his past tenures, he has achieved a number of notable achievements: under his leadership, RCMA has worked with the Consumers Association of Singapore to develop and launch a certification scheme for renovation companies in Singapore. The establishment of this system not only greatly optimizes the industry norms of decoration enterprises, but also demonstrates the unremitting pursuit of excellent work quality by peers.
In addition, Mr. Tan has personally participated in the planning and publication of the Singapore Renovation Guide Yearbook, a professional manual for the general public, which brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of renovation and provides a valuable reference for those inside and outside the industry.
At the same time, he also led the relocation of the association premises to the Trade Association Hub, which supports a vibrant ecosystem of trade associations and chambers (TACs). The venue gathers a high number of industry associations, enterprises and professionals, building a broad platform for communication and cooperation for peers, not only promoting in-depth communication inside and outside the industry, but also playing a pivotal role in leading the development of the industry.
It is worth mentioning that during the epidemic, Tan carried out in-depth negotiations with the government on behalf of the entire decoration industry, led industry colleagues to actively respond to various difficult challenges during the lockdown period, and played a key role in formulating policies to ensure the smooth resumption of work in the industry.
At the same time, in order to promote the comprehensive improvement of renovation industry standards, Tan personally took charge of the first director and founded the first decoration college in Singapore, by creating an open and diverse learning atmosphere to attract more fresh blood to join. He also established a series of comprehensive and systematic training courses and established and awarded professional certifications for renovation practitioners in Singapore, in order to motivate the industry to raise the bar and move to a higher level of development.
The re-election of Tan has undoubtedly injected new vitality and opportunities into RCMA. He will make full use of the advantages of contacts accumulated in Southeast Asia and China, and actively lead the association to carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation with many counterpart associations, work together to step forward, open up new markets and explore more development opportunities.
