Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles fair opened today, August 20, at the China National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai. This edition of the exhibition hosts nearly 900 premium exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, spanning over 100,000 square metres across four halls.
According to Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, organisers of the event, visitors can expect a wide spectrum of product categories throughout the fair, including nearly full range of product categories in home textiles industry, experiencing the energetic business atmosphere in the venue.
“As a global platform, Intertextile continues to bring together the industry’s brightest minds and boldest ideas, offering a space not just for showcasing products – but for sparking meaningful conversations, forging new partnerships, and imagining the future of textiles” said Shea in her welcome address at a VIP briefing.








Supporting the fair is a range of “fringe events promising valuable insight and inspiration through 4 brand-new directions – NextGen, Palette, Connector and Go-Green. The programme is designed to draw attention of the industry players to the shifts in the industry, emphasising creativity, connectivity, innovation, and ecological responsibility” Shea added.
Included are seminars such as one featuring curator Anja Bisgaard Gaede, who will present and lead guided tours on sustainability and AI trends at the InterDesign Forum.
There is also a Future & Textile Zone where visitors can explore innovations in the home textile sector.
Another key highlight is Home Textiles x Interior Decoration: Summit on Industry Reshaping and Advancement, a seminar which brings together key stakeholders in the industry to discuss development trends, growth strategies, and transformative design solutions.
