VIETNAM INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE HOME ACCESSORIES FAIR (VIFA EXPO) 2022

31 August – 3 September 2022
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Welcome back to Vietnam!
The biggest and most prestigious trade event for furniture and wooden products export in Vietnam is coming back, to be held from 31 August – 3 September, 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Vietnam’s furniture industry has experienced exponential growth in recent years. It is currently the second largest furniture exporter globally, only behind China. Furniture made-in-Vietnam is exported to more than 120 countries worldwide. The main markets are: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
At present Vietnam has FTAs (free trade agreement) with the EU, ASEAN, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Peru. This helps reduce any tariffs for furniture imports making the country an attractive source.
In 2021, Vietnam’s furniture export turnover reached USD14.8 billion (increased of 19,7% compared to 2020). In March 2022, the Prime Minister of Vietnam approved “Project on sustainable, efficient development of the wood processing industry in 2021 – 2030 period”. Accordingly, the goals of the project are to develop wood processing into an important economic sector, to build a reputable brand for Vietnamese wood products in domestic and export markets, as well as to turn Vietnam into one of the world’s leading wood producers. Export turnover of timber and forest products is projected to reach USD20 billion by 2025 and USD25 billion by 2030.
In this context, VIFA EXPO 2022 welcomes the international buyers back to Vietnam. The slogan of VIFA EXPO is “Discover the fascination of Vietnamese Furniture & Handicraft”, which encourages its exhibitors to showcase their latest and most diverse products including wooden furniture, indoor and outdoor furniture, home décor products, handicraft, gifts & souvenirs, hardware & fittings, timbers and woodworking machinery.
Buyers can expect to meet in person, discuss and begin business partnerships with leading Vietnamese and international furniture manufacturers. Exhibitors will also be ready to take buyers to their factories located in nearby production hubs such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An Provinces (typically 1-3 hours by land transport).
In addition to the physical exhibition, the organisers will also setup business matching sessions to help international buyer unable to visit in person connect with exhibitors.
Peripheral activities of VIFA EXPO consists of workshops and talk shows focusing on developing sustainable and effective wood and forest products processing industries.
