IAFP Reappoints Board

The International Alliance of Furnishing Publications (IAFP) held its annual general meeting this year on 7th of September at the Equatorial Hotel in Shanghai. The meeting was hosted by CIFF and held one day prior to the opening of CIFF Shanghai fair.
A grouping of the world’s top furniture trade publications, the alliance meets annually to discuss development in members’ respective markets as well as the challenges and opportunities.
In addition to the usual agenda, the group took the opportunity to conduct a dialogue with their host CIFF, represented by Crystal Deng, Assistant General Manager. They discussed the trends of the exhibition business and the growth of CIFF which has been in tandem with development of the Chinese furniture industry. The exchange ended with IAFP presenting a token of appreciation to CIFF.
The AGM also included an election of office bearers for the next term of two years. The current board members – President – Artem Vasiliev (Russia); Vice President – Casey Loo (Singapore and Malaysia); Secretary General – Paul Farley (UK); and Treasurer – Takayoshi Nagashima (Japan) – were re-elected to their positions for a further term, while Pedro Romero (Mexico) joined the executive as Digital Director.
The alliance also welcomed Polish magazine Biznes meble.pl to the group.
