RECOGNISING EXCELLENCE IN THE GLOBAL FURNITURE INDUSTRY
The combined award ceremony 2023 of International Furniture Leadership Awards (FLA) and International Interior Design Awards (IDA) was held successfully at the 51st China International Furniture Fair today (March 19, 2023) in Guangzhou, China. Amongst the award winners of the world’s most prestigious furniture industry business awards program are many of the top industry players in the world today.
AWARD SECRETARIAT REPORT
Both International Furniture Leadership Awards and International Interior Design Awards covering the period 2021 – 2023 together received over 100 international nominations from over two dozen countries. More than half withdrew for a variety of reasons. A huge number did not proceed to submit their evaluation while a small number did not pass.
At the end of the assessment, our international judging panel arrived at the final number of 23 companies and organisations and five individuals. Together they collected a total of 32 awards. These outstanding companies and individuals come from retail, wholesale, manufacturing, interior design, interior fit-out as well as trade associations. They represent 13 countries covering Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and North America.
GLOBAL CEO OF THE YEAR AWARD
In a span of merely 19 years, PT Home Center Indonesia (commonly known as Informa, its retail brand) has grown to become the largest and most successful furniture and interiors retailer in Indonesia. The company boasts a multi-brand strategy to serve the different tiers of the market. It also has an omni-channel concept that combines online and offline shopping experiences.
Today the company’s products are not only available through their 114 stores located in 49 cities across the country, but customers can also obtain Informa products online through company owned platform and other marketplaces. In addition to winning the outstanding company award and brand excellence award, the head of the company Mrs Meutia Kumala, received the Global CEO of the Year award, the program’s highest accolade.

The 2024 edition of International Furniture Leadership Awards (FLA) and International Interior Design Awards (IDA) will open for nomination on 1 September 2023.

International Furniture Leadership Awards (FLA) and International Interior Design Awards (IDA) are organised by APS Media Group (Singapore) and endorsed by International Alliance of Furnishing Publications, an association of 16 top furniture trade publications around the world. The program is supported by CIFF Guangzhou, the world’s largest furniture and interiors trade fair as its platinum sponsor.
Held annually to celebrate excellence in the global furniture and related trade, the 2 awards are open to exceptional furniture retailers, manufacturers, traders, interior designers, interior fit-out companies, material and machinery suppliers, associations, fair organisers and other service providers worldwide.
The awards honour companies both large and small that are well run and individuals that display outstanding leadership. Past awardees include some of the best managed-, fastest growing companies in different countries around the world.

In addition to enhancing the brand value of awardees, the program galvanises furniture companies to move forward and scale greater heights.
