CHINA: Representatives from the world’s leading furniture trade magazines came together in Shanghai last month for the 2018 AGM of the International Alliance of Furnishing Publications (IAFP).
The association, which comprises member publications from 18 countries aims to assist communications across the global furniture industry, whilst sharing best practice publishing approaches and market insights, offering would-be exporters and importers access to a valuable network of specialist marketeers.
This year’s AGM was hosted by the organiser of Furniture China, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co, which is also the publisher of member magazine, China Furniture.
During the show, IAFP members delivered a special presentation entitled International perspectives, Global opportunities, in which they outlined the activity and trends in their respective markets, as well as elaborating on their relationship with the Chinese furniture industry.
As well as formalising internal matters, the meeting saw the appointment of Furniture News’ Paul Farley as the association’s general secretary.
